Avakaya (Mango Pickle)

Avakaya is one of Andhra Pradesh’s most iconic mango pickles, known for its fiery red color and bold flavor. Fresh raw mango cubes are mixed with a robust blend of mustard powder (avva podi), spicy karam, turmeric, and salt, then immersed in rich groundnut oil.
The result is a spicy, tangy, aromatic pickle that pairs beautifully with rice, curd rice, rotis, and traditional meals.
